SkinPen Microneedling

Collagen Induction Therapy assists in the rejuvenation of the epidermal integrity resulting in improved appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. SkinPen Precision can effectively remodel scar tissue whilst maintaining the overall structure of the skin. SkinPen can be used on all areas of the face and body and can treat a number of concerns. There are three phases involved in the wound-healing process:
Phase I (Inflammation phase) – The piercing of the skin triggers a response in your immune system which disinfects the wounds, increases blood flow and initiates new tissue formation.
Phase II (Proliferation phase) – A new network of blood vessels develop in addition to wound rebuilding involving new granulation cells.
Phase II (Remodeling phase) – The wound is replaced with new blood vessels and Dermal tissues.
The device uses a series of ultra-fine needles to create thousands of microchannels in the skin. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s wound-healing response. Over time, this regenerative process improves the appearance of scars, fine lines, pores, and uneven skin tone.
SkinPen Precision can help correct:

What to expect during treatment
Your skin will be cleansed and numbed prior to treatment to ensure comfort. The SkinPen device is then passed over the treatment area, creating micro-injuries. The procedure typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on the area.
You may experience slight redness and sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24–48 hours. Most patients return to normal activities within a day, and visible improvements begin within a week, continuing over the following weeks as collagen production increases.
For best results, it is important to follow the aftercare advice given to you following your SkinPen treatment.
Treatment time: 60 mins
Longevity: 12-18 months, permanent softening of scarring
Recovery: Redness for 12-24 hours post procedure

Course: Depending on skin concern- 3–6 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, is typically recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments every 6–12 months can help preserve results.

Chemical peels harness the power of naturally occurring acids and active ingredients to deeply exfoliate and brighten the skin. Peels are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to renew itself by creating fresh new skin cells. They also stimulate the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production which both help to maintain brighter, more even skin tone. Regular peels can help with anti-ageing, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, decongest and reduce pigmentation.
At Aesthetics by Hannah, we only use trusted brands such as Obagi. Skin peels vary in grade and depth, the ingredients vary too, they contain different acids to target problem areas such as acne scaring or wrinkles.

Longevity: Results are seen as soon as the skin refreshes and settles, but results will vary depending on the intensity of your peel. Generally, results last 3 – 12 months.
